AZCO Human Resources Intern - AZCO (Appleton, WI) in Appleton, Wisconsin

Description

The Human Resources Intern will provide support to the union HR & Payroll team. This position provides first-hand exposure to high-volume HR Operations as you will process union new hire paperwork, maintain accurate HR records, and support our union payroll & time capture processes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

·Create union employee records in HRIS system and update employment data or status changes. Ensure information is complete and accurate, follow up on any issues or missing information. Electronically sort & file employee paperwork.

·Verify union I-9 forms have been completed according to government regulations and documented in the HRIS system.

·Provide excellent customer service by researching and responding to department inquiries. Will handle employment verification, unemployment correspondence, and employee questions.

·Partner with team members to create internal training documents and document best practices.

·Complies with all policies and standards.

·Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience:

Pursuit of Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related Business program.

Other Qualifications:

·Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Access).

·Basic HRIS knowledge is highly desired.

·Strong written and verbal communication skills and organizational skills.

·Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.

·Ability to handle large volumes of work and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

·Self-motivated and eager learner, with an aptitude to grow and develop within the field.

·Minimum of a 3.0 GPA strongly preferred.

·Involvement on campus or in the community preferred.

·Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently (i.e., without time limitations, without restrictions or without need for work sponsorship) in the country where this position is located.
