Burns & McDonnell Jobsite Quality Control Supervisor in Appleton, Wisconsin
* Summary:* Responsible for managing the site quality assurance program and various field issues.
* Essential Duties and Responsibilities* include the following: Other duties may be assigned.
Manage AZCO’s Quality program for a specific project jobsite.
Verify construction activities are performed in accordance with the contract specifications and drawing requirements through preparatory planning, inspection, and record review.
Communicate with the customer’s site QA/QC personnel and relate any specification or contract criteria to AZCO’s site project team.
Responsible for creating and maintaining AZCO weld maps and travelers.
Responsible for creating and maintaining AZCO support/restraint documentation.
Responsible for creating and maintaining AZCO flange management documentation.
Responsible for ensuring required inspections are being completed in a timely manner.
Test and qualify welders in accordance with the company welder testing criteria.
Maintain project quality logs, forms, documentation, etc.
Assist in scheduling NDE, PWHT and Authorized Inspector visits.
Review and approve Pre & Post Weld Heat Treatment reports.
Review and approve 3rdparty NDE reports.
Responsible for ensuring all QA/QC records up to date for audit purposes.
Create turnover packages of required QA/QC documentation.
Correspond with the jurisdictional inspectors or Authorized Inspector when necessary.
Manage, direct, and assist inspection personnel to ensure inspections are being completed and documented in a timely manner.
Assist the project coordinator(s) in preparing turn-over packages for customer submittal.
Participate in the Jobsite Safety Observations (JSO's) process and define corrective measures for problem areas
Comply with all Safety & Health requirements and monitors construction activities to ensure adherence to safety standards.

* Education and/or Experience:*
High School diploma or GED; and related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum 3 years of verifiable inspection supervision experience.
Minimum 6 years of verifiable inspection experience as an AWS CWI/SCWI.
Previous experience with quality program management and implementation on range of projects to include HRSG Erection Projects, Refinery-Oil & Gas projects, boiler and pressure vessel repair/alteration projects, structural steel erection.
Must have previous experience with welder testing and qualification using ASME Section IX, AWS D1.1., and API 1104.
Current AWS SCWI or CWI certification required.
Previous or current MT and PT certifications desired, but not required.
Familiarity and understanding of RT, UT, PMI, pre/post weld heat treatment, PMI and hardness testing.
* Computer Skills:*
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including a strong background in MS Excel and Word, and Blue-Beam.
* Other Qualifications:*
- Background and thorough working knowledge of various ASME and AWS codes and standards to include but not limited to: ASME-Section1, Section II, Section VIII, Section XI, B31.1, B31.3, B31.8, AWS-D1.1, and D1.6.
* Travel Requirements:*
Must be available to travel to jobsites not yet determined for the duration of a given project and to the home office approximately 10% of the time. Management will be from the jobsite location.
