Description

Assist project managers in the execution of projects. Lead aspects of project execution including data collection, engineering, financial, and technical analysis; maintain project schedule; develop key project deliverables including analysis, reports, and presentations; support the project manager in quality control of deliverables; analyze and communicate project status, risks, schedule, and costs to project managers; assist in leading multi-discipline teams of engineers and analysts; plan, organize, and communicate project personnel needs to project and department management. Mentor and train less experienced staff on technical aspects of projects and the industry; serve as a recognized in-house leader in power delivery planning and evaluation; support company initiatives. Assist project managers in business development activities; assist in managing existing client relationships through client marketing and project interactions; identify new sales opportunities with clients; assist within aspects of proposal development and submission including project planning, budgeting, and scheduling; assist in the establishment of critical project objectives and performances with clients; manage relationships with existing and potential key clients, customers, software providers, and contractors. Telecommuting permitted up to thirty (30) days per year. Domestic travel required up to 15% for internal meetings, client kick off meetings and final presentations.

Qualifications

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or a directly related field plus four (4) years of electric utility operations, planning, or consulting experience.

Alternatively, employer will accept a Master’s degree plus two (2) years of electric utility operations, planning or consulting experience in lieu of Bachelor’s degree plus four (4) years of electric utility operations, planning, or consulting experience.

Must have two (2) years of experience with the following:

• Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, & Powerpoint.

• Power flow modeling software, including Synergi, CYME, Windmil, SKM, ETAP, OpenDSS or Aspen.

• Evaluating system performance, simulation of power flows, and developing solutions and upgrades of electric distribution facilities.

• Consulting services to investor-owned electric utilities, municipal electric utilities, or electric cooperatives.

• Protection and coordination of electric systems.

• Power system planning and operations.

Telecommuting permitted up to thirty (30) days per year. Domestic travel required up to 15% for internal meetings, client kick off meetings and final presentations.
