Burns & McDonnell Senior Process Engineer - Life Sciences / Pharmaceutical Manufacturing in Atlanta, Georgia
Burns & McDonnell is seeking a mid to senior level process engineer to help grow our life sciences and pharmaceutical department. This individual will be client-facing and work with junior staff on the execution of projects. Optimum candidates will have strong interpersonal skills and be comfortable presenting to clients and mentoring colleagues.
Work includes assisting with conceptual studies, detailed design, field installation, construction support. Maintains and promotes a focus on Burns & McDonnell final deliverables.
Ensures effective communications with other engineering disciplines.
Ensures effective management of change.
Lead in preparing and developing instrument specifications, instrument and instrument valve data sheets, RFQs, technical bid summaries, purchase recommendations, construction packages.
Lead in developing process scope, including PFD's and process design basis documents.
Lead in reviewing instrument and control systems vendor drawings and data.
Interface with suppliers, clients, other engineering disciplines, detailers/designers.
Lead in the review of P&ID's, mechanical package specifications, controls system specifications, and electrical deliverables.
Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering with 7 or more years' experience in Process Engineering for the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry. Aseptic Fill Finish experience required. Oral Solid/Liquid Dose experience preferred.
Ability to perform quality reviews for detailed engineering documents and specifications.
Experienced in field instruments and control valve selection, calculation and detailed specifications.
Knowledge of applicable design standards
Ability to travel.
Ability to lead execution of work and resolve issues in a team environment.
