Description
We have an opening for an Environmental Analyst, for our Austin, TX, office who will work in a team atmosphere by assisting with performing detailed technical, financial, and operational analyses and working in project execution. Projects typically include planning studies, financial studies, operational reviews, procurements, and research studies.
Responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to assisting senior staff with the following:
Development of planning studies, financial studies, and operational reviews for utilities.
Research and compilation of project data.
Development of project reports, analytical work papers, and project presentations.
Analysis of operational and financial data.
Preparation of procurement documents for utility services
Preparation and analysis of financial projections and forecasts.
Preparation of cost of service and rate analysis.
All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Public Administration, Government, Environmental Studies, Community and Regional Planning, Economics, Engineering, Business Administration, or another related field.
4 years of experience preferred.
Previous internship and/or related consulting experience preferred.
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
Experience with utilities (solid waste, water, wastewater, electric) preferred but not required
High level of proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Experience with Microsoft Access preferred, but not required
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to meet deadlines under pressure
