Burns & McDonnell Federal Environmental Project Manager in Brea, California

Description

We are seeking a self-motivated Environmental Project Manager to support and grow a Federal Project Execution team in Southern California. This individual will join our successful team of professionals in Southern California and serve our environmental team nationwide.

This seller/doer position requires experience managing client accounts and business development with technical competence in the remediation services area. Project management responsibilities will include significant client service, budget and schedule control, technical quality and working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Existing business relationships and ability to develop new business as well as cross-sell services to existing client accounts are expected.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in engineering (civil, chemical, environmental) or related field from an accredited curriculum is preferred.

  • Minimum of 8 years of related remedial experience, including investigation, feasibility analyses, remedial design and construction implementation.

  • Experience on airfields, aircraft or vehicle fueling system installs, shore-based fueling systems and underground tank removal programs is a plus.

  • The successful candidate should possess proven project management skills and a solid understanding of in-situ and ex-situ remedial technologies.

  • Experience with and working knowledge of State and Federal remedial regulations is a must.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop sales strategies, lead business development pursuits and consistently win new business.

  • Experience with developing the federal market sector is required especially NAVFAC and the Army Corps of Engineers; AFCEC experience is preferred.

  • Experience with remediation project management for LA Districts preferred

  • Experience within multiple other market sectors, such as: industrial, aviation, utility, oil & gas, etc. is a plus.

  • Experience with Engineer-Procure-Construct (EPC) or design-build execution is preferred.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong problem-solving abilities.

  • Must possess strong interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work within a Team framework.

  • Self-motivation and the ability to multi-task (write reports, analyze data, perform design tasks, etc.) are also a prerequisite.
