This position requires experience managing projects and budgets and coordinating staff to provide consulting and engineering services related to geologic sequestration of CO2 and/or use of CO2 for Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR), landfill leachate injection, permitting and solid waste cover design & build. Position requires ability to lead a multidisciplinary team of scientists and engineers providing services that range from high-level desktop assessments of the technical and economic feasibility of leachate injection, capping, carbon sequestration and/or EOR to full-scale Engineer-Procure-Construct (EPC) execution of selected solutions, and implementation of long-term monitoring programs. Other duties, as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Geology, Geochemistry, Engineering or related field from an accredited program.

  • Master’s degree in Geology, Geochemistry, Engineering or related field from an accredited program preferred.

  • Minimum 7 years managing projects, including staff, budgets, schedules, preparation of plans/studies/reports/designs and risk management.

  • Experience with CO2 utilization for EOR and/or permanent geologic storage.

  • Knowledge of landfill cover design, construction and CQA services

  • Experience with solid waste leachate injection evaluation, feasibility, permitting, design and execution, including multiple contaminants

  • Experience with reservoir characterization and monitoring.

  • Knowledge of UIC Class I and VI injection well regulations and associated plans.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong problem-solving abilities.

  • Must possess strong interpersonal skills and ability to work within a team framework.

  • Self-motivation and the ability to multi-task (write reports, analyze data, perform design tasks, etc.) a prerequisite.
