Burns & McDonnell Staff Air/Noise Specialist in Fort Worth, Texas
The Staff Air and Noise Specialist will provide air and noise permitting services in the power, industrial, commercial, transportation and manufacturing industries.This includes performing air and noise quality analyses and permitting, environmental regulatory analysis and interpretation of environmental regulations.
Prepare air permit application packages.
Conduct air quality and noise impact analyses FOR or TO.
Conduct environmental compliance audits FOR or TO.
Conduct environmental site assessments and inspections to ensure compliance with local, state and federal air quality requirements.
Perform emission calculations and estimates for routine emissions as well as maintenance, startup and shutdown emissions.
Prepare technical reports and technical specifications FOR.
Field assessments FOR.
Ensure compliance with company and site safety policies.
All other duties as assigned
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering or a related field from an accredited program. Minimum 4 years of applicable experience.
Completion of a master's degree in a related field may be substituted for one year of experience.
Previous consulting experience related to air pollution permitting and compliance and/or multimedia environmental compliance audits, environmental management systems, and report writing preferred
Demonstrated knowledge of federal, state, and local air regulations with emphasis on the Clean Air Act, National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants, New Source Performance Standards, New Source Review Permitting, and Title V Permitting.
Practical knowledge of air quality dispersion models such as AERMOD and AERSCREEN.
Ability to clearly communicate both verbal and written technical information.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow complex requests.
Must be proficient in the use of computer software (i.e., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
