Ref-Chem has an immediate opening in our Houston office location for a Business Development Manager. This position will be responsible for developing business with key clients in the midstream, downstream and petrochemical sectors of the Oil and Gas industry with significant potential to become a major contributor to the growth and profitability of Ref-Chem. This business line within Ref-Chem executes engineering, procurement and construction projects of processing facilities throughout the refining, midstream and petrochemical market sectors. Business Development Manager establishes continuing contacts with new prospects; coordinates contacts between staff and proposed clients. Serves as principal client contact when necessary.

Advises marketing principals of actions, schedules, prospects, and related activities on continual basis. Supervises team members. Coordinates team activities for timely responses, submittals, presentations and proposals. Organizes development of marketing's administrative system and resources.

Establishes goals, objectives, strategies, and budget requirements for developing new business. Serves as the client advocate during the completion of projects to ensure proper team alignment and assist advancing from concept development through design and construction phases. Other duties as assigned.




  • Direct Marketing, Market Segmentation, Marketing Research, Coordination, Reporting Research Results, Understanding the Customer, Initiative, and Planning

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, Adobe and PowerPoint


  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to walk; use hands and fingers to feel, handle, or operate objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms.

  • Ability to lift 20lbs


  • Will require national travel, expected to be up to 30% of the time.


  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Business Management, Marketing, Business Administration, or any other related field.

  • 10-15 years of experience in Business Development or Marketing in the Refining, Mid-stream or chemicals required. Oil, Gas Terminals and Pipeline industry preferred.

  • Previous experience in Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) preferred.
