Burns & McDonnell Marketing Manager in Houston, Texas
The Marketing Manager manages the preparation and execution of Burns & McDonnell's marketing efforts in relation to business plans and proposals. This position will provide strategic direction to their assigned business unit(s) by managing the marketing plan for each client/project.
Manages the preparation of the business plan.
Manages the client research and business analysis process.
Manages ongoing strategic planning for business unit in effort to keep marketing efforts focused.
Develops firm-wide systems, procedures and resources.
Presents at marketing support staff meetings.
Acts as liaison for internal communication of firm-wide marketing news and developments.
Manages a reporting system for marketing costs; reviews marketing performance summaries.
Manages proposal preparation; helps decide go/no-go decisions and strategies.
Manages maintenance of local contacts and leads database.
Prepares interview teams; contributes marketing expertise in project kick-off meetings.
Develops marketing specific materials.
Manages the overall quality of marketing procedures, people and product to optimize process efficiencies.
Attends professional organizations and conferences; builds professional network.
Develop and implement promotional initiatives.
Responsible for recruitment, development, training, retention and evaluating performance of the marketing team.
All other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree in marketing or a related field.
Minimum 10 years experience either as an A/E professional, in marketing or sales with a professional services firm.
Superior technical writing abilities.
Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
