The Project Controls Level 1 will assist with the administration of project safety, quality, schedule, cost control, contracts, subcontractors, suppliers, procurement, proposals, estimates, documentation, turnover, client interface, and field-based activities to execute Engineer Procure Construct (EPC) projects, construction management, and program management ventures. This position will work on a diverse array of projects across multiple industries.
Develop and maintain progress tracking & work packaging documents that track earned value.
Develop and maintain Primavera schedule that is man loaded and in conjunction with our progress tracking document.
Track and estimate field change orders and incorporate them into the progress tracking document.
Break down a cost estimate into codes and input into cost system, Viewpoint.
Communicate data from schedule & progress reports to management team as well as the client.
Create invoices based on progress tracking document.
Develop and maintain office forms and procedures, and assist with administrative tasks
Respond to inquiries and refer to appropriate person or department
Duplicate and distribute materials
Compose, type, and edit correspondence, reports and other material. Develop and maintain office forms and procedures, and assist with administrative tasks
Support department with documents, bid packages, etc.Other duties as assigned.
High school diploma or GED.
4 years project controls experience
Primavera P6 Training Course
Must be able to read & understand construction drawings such as Plot plans & Isometrics
Advanced knowledge in Primivera Scheduling and cost control metrics.
Demonstrated leadership experience.
Osha 10 hour certification preferred.
Excellent computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Access).
Knowledge of document control, scheduling, cost control and project management software is preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong organizational skills.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills, and attention to detail.
Ability to handle large volumes of work and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Must be able to meet company's driving requirements.
- The base work schedule will be a five (5) day workweek (Monday through Friday) with some exceptions based on the office or project location. Periodic weekend work and extended workdays may be required. Business travel after regular work hours will be required. Night shift work may be required to support project execution.
Work locations could include office-based or construction jobsites that include working in adverse climates, and extensive walking, requiring stairs, passenger use of personal hoists, negotiating work areas under construction, climbing permanent and temporary ladders and occasional lifting or moving objects up to 50 pounds. Must be able to sit, walk, stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and bend. Specific vision abilities required for this job include: close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to hear and perceive the nature of sounds by ear. Must be able to safely operate motor vehicles. May at times need to access confined spaces or work locations at elevation requiring utilization of respirators, self-contained breathing apparatus, and/or fall protection.
Projects may require occasional long hours and infrequent days off, occasional night shifts or moderate to long periods of working consecutive nights.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to walk; use hands and fingers to feel, handle, or operate objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms.
Ability to visit onsite field locations with occasional overnight travel
Ability to lift 30lbs
