We are looking for a highly motivated, self-driven, CADD / Mechanical Design savvy individual with a quick learning curve to be a part of our team. Typical project work includes green-field / retrofit, design-bid-build, Engineer-Procure, or EPC Projects for storage and point of sale terminals, pipeline origination stations, pipeline valve stations, pipeline booster stations, and other related facilities.

This position will be responsible for performing a variety of routine assignments using prescribed methods and standard techniques including but not limited to drawing sequence and presentation, sizing various system components, refining rough sketches, performing field walk downs and inventories, coordinating with Engineering leads across all disciplines. You will be expected to produce complete plans, 3D models, isometrics, schematics from verbal or written description from registered professionals. You will be expected to understand and work to project deadlines and budgets. You will need to apply formulas, principles and practices and be familiar with industry governing standards such ASME, PIP, etc. A strong understanding of piping principles is expected.

Individuals performing in this role must be proficient in the theory and practices of selected discipline; competent in the fundamental concepts of other disciplines as they relate to the assigned discipline; and capable of operating related discipline design software necessary to execute production tasks. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in drafting technology or related field and thirteen years related experience or associate's degree and fourteen years related experience or fifteen years progressive detailing and design experience.

  • Administrative knowledge of AutoCAD, Microstation, Navisworks, other

  • Administrative knowledge of Piping Design software such as Plant-3D, CADWorx, PDS, SmartPlant, other preferred.

  • Ability to lead and advance CAD application tools, department standards, and procedures

  • Strong understanding of Piping Design Principles, governing standards, materials, etc.

  • Able to work from Engineering information and execute a project from early FEL 0 through detailed design and construction.

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Analysis, design layout and calculations on non-routine assignments of substantial variety and complexity.

  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills.

  • Previous related consulting experience preferred.
