Burns & McDonnell Assistant O365 Collaboration Specialist in Kansas City, Missouri

Description

The role is responsible for assisting in the implementation, administration, monitoring, marketing and end-to-end cohesiveness of O365 collaboration applications for Burns & McDonnell on an international platform.

  • Plan deploy and support collaboration tools and technical solutions across the organization with focus on Microsoft O365 applications such as Teams, SharePoint and Exchange.

  • Develop standards, governance principals, usage guidelines and adoption methodologies for collaboration tools as appropriate for our business.

  • Work closely with various stakeholders to identify opportunities with existing systems and processes where collaboration tools can greatly improve ways of working across the organization.

  • Lead configuration and testing of collaboration tools with focus on effective reuse and efficiency.

  • Enable the organization to adapt and leverage ongoing deployment of collaboration tools and continued platform improvements.

  • Resident expert on O365 collaboration applications and overall product direction, with a passion for staying current on the Microsoft roadmap.

  • Collaborate with other IT staff, including Tier 1 Service Desk, to ensure cross-training and facilitate effective issue resolution.

  • Compile and log operational issues, escalate incidents with vendors and build relationships with vendor account managers for escalation of service issues.

  • Assist with scaling collaboration tools, communicating to a variety of audiences in several media (verbal, written, videos, live presentations), and handling change management for our organization.

  • Manage multiple simultaneous tasks and projects with various and changing levels of priority and difficulty.

  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree inComputerScience,Management InformationSystems (MIS), Information Technologyor related field.Applicable years of experience maybe substituted for degree requirement.

  • Experiencesuccessfully delivering technical solutions including planning,deploymentand support for collaboration tools, with focus on Microsoft O365 applications such as Teams, SharePointandExchange.

  • Project Online experience a plus.

  • Ability tocollaboratein a team withstrongcommunication andproblem-solvingskills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skillsas well as excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Understanding oftheMicrosoft collaboration stack including Office 365, Azure AD Connect, Exchange & SharePoint.

  • Basic knowledge of applying IT security regulations and policies.

  • Experience conducting and supporting O365 authentication and identity management.

  • Experience managing Azure Active Directory.

  • PowerShell scripting skills.
