The Business and Technology Solutions - Technology Consulting BI & Analytics Business Line Leader will partner with BMcD customers to implement solutions to our customer's business problems and set service/solution direction for this business line to enable profitable growth. This role will be highly engaged with understanding customers business challenges and the data needed to make informed decisions that drive them to meet business goals. The ideal candidate will be well skilled at listening and uncovering the root of problems to be solved. They will work throughout the customer organization to identify data available and opportunities to capture additional data needed for further analysis. They will capture the current state and build a roadmap to customer future state. They will build a customer facing team that conducts data mapping sessions, builds data integration plans, and deploys visualization in hosted and customer environments while developing capabilities in advanced analytics fields.

  • Broad experience with Business Intelligence & Analytics platforms

  • Experience applying data science to meet practical business needs

  • Previous roles that engaged with external customers in a consulting capacity

  • Working with customer IT staff to deploy/integrate/adopt intelligence and reporting platforms

  • Preparing strategic business line plans focused on service definition and growth

  • Solving problems with data that lead to results with business impact

  • Developing customer relationships and winning work

  • Working with customers to identify requirements and gather data

  • Introduce new concepts to organization that drive data culture

  • Listening to customers to define key performance indicators

  • Smart data discovery tools and techniques

  • Natural language and AI assisted data analysis

  • Support of citizen data scientists

  • Data governance strategies

Role Responsibilities

  • Translate customer operational needs into data analytics that deliver business value

  • Architect data and analytics support models to enable customer goals for driving decisions with data

  • Articulate the business case and value proposition for enterprise data analytics

  • Strategically manage analytics offering to achieve growth goals

  • Partner with internal teams to provide analytics in larger work engagements

  • Champion the analytics innovation agenda inside the company and with customers

  • Publish technical material and contribute to thought leadership in the analytics space

  • Build internal and external relationships around data analytics offering best practices

  • Contribute to thought leadership in the company and industries

  • Build team and lead execution of data integration and reporting projects

  • Build data visualizations and facilitate skill development across consulting team

  • Contribute subject matter expertise for pursuit of new business opportunities

  • Identify and Lead sales activities to increase win probability for key analytics deals

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, environmental science, business or related degree from an accredited program. Minimum of 7 years relevant consulting experience, preferably in the transmission and distribution industry.

  • MBA or ability to achieve preferred.

  • Expert experience in investigating, evaluating, selecting, and driving the development of products for an organization.

  • Strong facilitation, collaboration, organization, and problem solving skills.

  • Proven experience having led and completed projects from business proposal through post-production support preferred.

  • Demonstrated success as to budget, savings and/or profit margins in completed projects.

  • Ability to filter and distill relevant information and convey business and technical concepts to a diverse client base and internal technical teams.

  • Excellent planning and analytical skills.

  • Broad knowledge of project management methodologies and tools including the use of Microsoft Project or equivalent.
