Burns & McDonnell CVENT Corporate Services System Specialist - Events (Kansas City) in Kansas City, Missouri

Description

The CVENT Corporate Services System Specialist will manage the event software platform, Cvent. The enterprise-wide software will play a pivotal role in optimizing event management at Burns & McDonnell. The Corporate Services System Specialist will work closely with planners, Marketing, IT teams, leadership, and end users to implement, maintain, and troubleshoot the system to meet the organization's evolving needs.

  • Lead the setup, configuration, administration, and maintenance of Cvent software platform.

  • Collaborate with event planners and stakeholders to understand event requirements and tailor Cvent solutions accordingly.

  • Design and customize event registration websites, email communications and attendee surveys within the Cvent system.

  • Implement event workflows, including registration, attendee management, and reporting.

  • Provide excellent and timely customer service for end users and planners companywide.

  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends related to the software.

  • Develop event reporting standards.

  • Generate event reports and analyze data to provide insight and recommendations for event improvements.

  • Develop and deliver training programs for Cvent end users.

  • Ensure compliance with federal email laws and regulations.

  • Lead development and implementation of procedures for configuration, and maintenance of Cvent.

  • Identify opportunities to optimize processes, workflows, and data management.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to implement system improvements that enhance efficiency and reduce redundancy.

  • Collaborate with marketing, IT, and third-party vendor to ensure Cvent is successfully integrated with other enterprise applications. Troubleshoot integration issues and identify opportunities for process automation.

  • Manage system upgrades and new releases, conducting thorough testing to ensure the stability and functionality of the system before implementation.

  • Address system-related issues promptly, diagnosing problems, and providing timely resolutions. Escalate complex issues to the appropriate teams or vendors as necessary.

  • Foster strong relationships with various stakeholders, including planners, Marketing, department heads, end users, and IT teams, to ensure a collaborative approach to Cvent system management.

  • Provide leadership, guidance, and instruction to less experienced staff.

  • Responsible for QA/QC process adherence.

  • Responsible for compliance with company and site safety policies.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Complies with all policies and standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, business administration, or a related field and 4 years relevant experience required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Marketing or related field preferred.

  • Previous experience with Cvent software preferred.

  • Strong technical knowledge of enterprise hardware, software, networking, and security systems is preferred.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
