Description
The Financial Systems Analyst will be a member of a team that is viewed as a consultant to the Accounting/Finance department in solving system problems to support the overall organization. The Financial Systems Team understands the Accounting/Finance department and shapes their understanding of the desired future state by listening to leaders, stakeholders, subject matter experts and project team members. The Financial Systems Team then devises the ways, using existing and/or new systems, to get the organization from where it is to where it wants or needs to be.
The Staff Financial Systems Analyst will spend the majority of their day-to-day researching, designing, configuring, and testing financial systems for enhancements and upgrades. This includes designing and communicating custom functionality, reports, and integrations with the IT development team. Primary Accounting/Finance Areas supported include (but not limited to) foreign currency, international subsidiaries, general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash management, expense reports, fixed assets, project costing, project billing and project forecasting.
List of Duties/Responsibilities:
Gather and document functional business processed and requirements
Research, design, setup and test financial systems for enhancements and upgrades or initial implementation
Set requirements for custom functionality, reports, and integrations
Serve as liaison between the Accounting/Finance business and IT that understands the business and technical side of projects
Develop and execute the detailed test scripts for validating system solution
Create the training materials and present training for end-users
Plan change management to help adaptation of new systems and processes
Troubleshoot system issues with end users and IT developers
Partner with a Senior on the Team on more complex projects
All other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. Emphasis in Information Systems preferred.
Experience with Oracle applications and SQL preferred.
Self-motivated and good organizational skills.
Able to creatively analyze and solve problems independently.
Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft office.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience with financial systems. implementation initiatives preferred.
