Industry Leadership& Business Development
Identifies newopportunitiesfor Burns & McDonnell to provide servicesto its customers and possess the ability to demonstrate and communicate emerging solutions and services.
Capturescustomer requirements and qualification of opportunities in close partnership withthe Sales &Business Developmentteamto ensure that they align with the Burns & McDonnell strategy, target markets, solution offering and capability focus.Helps turn customer requirements and opportunities into proposals and projects.
Translates the business, commercialand technical requirements intovalue propositions andproposals.Createprofessional, high-quality proposals,bids,project scopes, cost estimatesand other supporting documents in order to win work with new and existing clients.
Servesas an expert throughout the sales process to support the development of new and existing opportunities.This includesclient relationship andaccount managementduring the delivery of services.
Takesan activeleadership role inrelevantindustry working groupsand committeesin order to drive the Private LTE industry forward.
Responsible for thedevelopment,creation anddeliveryofindustry thought leadershipcontent.Will deliver content in various formats(ex: workshops, working groups,white papers,blogs, presentations, etc.)and for various audiences.
Attend and engage at vendor and trade events as outlined by management to maintain relevance and competence in the wireless telecommunications marketplace. Will leverage these events to build and maintain industry relationships,sell Burns & McDonnell servicesand present thought leadership.
Lead client projectsin a hands-on capacity to understandtheircurrentand futurebusiness and technology challenges.Create business vision, strategic imperatives, andsupportingfinancialanalysis.
Assess current state client technology environments andestablishbusiness and technology requirements.Developand reviewoptions,evaluate,test,recommend, and design strategies, businessand technology solutions.
Lead vendor selections, business case development, deployment management, training and change management, strategic analysis and carry projects through from strategy to turn up, testing, training and turnover.
Understand the underlying business processes and technologies being used to be able to make recommendations on how to achieve long-term scalability, reduceO&Mcost,support capital portfolio planning,or better support business processes.
Develop project deliverables and review the work product of the team for quality and accuracy.
Private LTE Solutions
Serve as aleadtechnical and commercial solutionsarchitectto the PLTE team.
Provide senior-level business consulting expertise and input tothe PLTEclientteams.
Apply solution architecture methodology, best practices, utility and industry knowledge on network and operations, processes and principles to create value for the customer in an innovative way.This includes understanding, capturing and challenging inputs from market analysis, key client decision makers, technical and operations staff to offer more complete solutions to the client.
Lead the development of technical roadmaps and full deployment planning for our clients. Utilize all necessary Burns & McDonnell resources in developing these deployment plans.
Demonstrate related experience and understanding of utility communications solutions(ex: fiber, microwave, backhaul, etc.), with an emphasis on IoT, and all other various types of wireless solutions, networking and connectivity to drive the business.
Provide the High-Level Designs(HLD) for PLTE networks to explicitly demonstrate the network being proposed. Be able to fully articulate the design and reasoning for specific design features.
Engage is all spectrum activities and understand the spectrum landscape for our clients. Stay current on all spectrumoptions.Researches, educates,evaluatesand recommends spectrum solutions.
Compare and contrast 4G vs 5Gsolutions,havea familiarity with 3GPP versions,theLTEdevice ecosystems, and the tradeoffs of selectingthe various3GPP release versions forthe base technology.
Obtain details of the customer’s current environment and the present mode of operationsto understand the end-user’s current & future expectations and needsin ordertoabstract and architect solutions that fit their unique requirements.This includes the development of use cases and applications that will use the PLTE network.
Understand andarticulate roaming interconnections and theintricaciesof these interfaces.
Defines the blueprint roadmapand reference architecturefor customer solutions.Bring together multiple stakeholders in order tofullyintegrate this solution concept and bring it to life.Provide input to the team regarding developing technologies as well as solutions to evolving business requirements of the target markets.
Develop, negotiate,and implement strategic partnerships and the necessary supply chain to provide a full end-to-end PLTE solution.Works closely with internal stakeholders (ex: legal& accounting) tointegrate the partnership within our core service offering.
Responsible for cultivating and maintaining relationships among business partners.
Develops go-to-market offeringsin collaboration with the wider Burns & McDonnell team for new products and solutions.
Provide frontline-level insights on solutions and industry trends to assist in forming focused teams and validating the business solutions. Validates that Burns & McDonnell’s offerings match ourclient’sexpectationsand market needs.
Analyses inputsfrom market analysis,client feedback, together with perceived market expectations, and translates them into a set of consistent requirements providing a variety of cross-domains solutions that meet customer needs (business, operational, functional and regulatory) in the most effective way.

Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related degree.
Minimum7 yearsofrelevant work experience inmobile carrier networks, preferably with4GLTEsystems.Experience with Push-To-Talk systems is a plus.Completion of master's degree in related field may be substituted for one year of experience.
15years ofrelevantworkexperience intelecommunicationsis preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated critical thinking skills, ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment.
Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization and problem-solving skills.
Ability to travel.
