Burns & McDonnell Marketing Anaylst Intern in Kansas City, Missouri
The Marketing Analyst Intern will be responsible developing controlled vocabularies and applying metadata in support of organizational ontology goals and priorities. Will work with large and complex data sets and stakeholders throughout the company. Ideal candidate is highly organized, curious, analytical, flexible and possesses an uncanny understanding of connectivity.
Apply metadata schemas and controlled vocabularies to facilitate data exchange across enterprise technology systems
Evaluate categorized content to identify gaps in coverage, misclassified content, redundant and/or ineffective categorization rules
Create and maintain mappings and crosswalks to fulfill business needs and facilitate data reuse.
Filter and compile data, and review raw output and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems.
Work closely with management to prioritize business and information needs and meet data deliverables.

Pursuit of Bachelor’s degree in business management, business analytics, marketing, data analysis or Library and Information Sciences or related field
Minimum of a 3.0 GPA strongly preferred.
Successful experience completing digital asset management, knowledge management, data curation, or similar digital projects.
Experience with us of Excel and SQL experience, including pivot tables, Vlookups, conditional formatting, complex queries, etc.
Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques a plus.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
Prior internship and/or related consulting experience preferred.
Involvement on campus or in the community.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
Demonstrated leadership skills.
Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently (i.e. without time limitations, without restrictions or without need for work sponsorship) in the country where this position is located.
