Burns & McDonnell Marketing Project Manager in Kansas City, Missouri


The Marketing Project Manager will be responsible for creating programmatic content and programs to inform and educate across 10 market verticals internally. Must have client awareness of our business and services in growth markets and in target business Lines, the Marketing Project Manager must be adept at visioning, developing and executing sales and marketing programs with the ability to understand market conditions, client interest and business unit strategy. The MPM will utilize marketing methodologies to liaise between corporate marketing and sales.

  • Manage, develop and implement Ampersand Series

  • Manage Marketing MacCentral communication and strategy

  • Manage Marketing Weekly/Monthly Blog

  • Manage Enterprise Account Management Program

  • Manage other ancillary projects as deemed appropriate by Marketing Director

  • Create integrated internal marketing campaigns to maximize reach, interaction and ROI in growth areas and for multiple Business Line positioning.

  • Lead, develop, recommend and implement marketing plans and programs designed to increase revenue, meet requirements defined by BU leadership.

  • Align with key internal clients to identify markets to leverage our services and define the plan and execution to drive results.

  • Collaborate with the client-facing teams to ensure we are capturing the messaging and benefits that align to the client needs. (internal and external sales)

  • Consult with internal clients to promote new ways to promote services as needed – internal sales and marketing programs.

  • Help drive updated quality materials and content into the repository which will have a direct impact on efficiency and effectiveness of proposal and presentation materials.

  • Partner with internal teams to analyze competitive information and industry research to help guide integrated marketing plan and campaign/creative development.

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business administration, or related field.

  • Minimum 7 years experience either as an A/E professional, in marketing, business development, or sales with a professional services firm.

  • The ideal candidate will have strong creative instincts, a deep understanding of marketing and business development, strategic integrated communications and marketing experience, and the ability to collaborate with others and lead cross-functional teams.

  • Adept at generating and implementing marketing/communications campaigns and plans

  • Oversee complex projects with multiple stakeholders

  • Ability to coordinate and meet deadlines

  • Highly focused, detail-oriented

  • Client service skills and attitude

  • Strong communication and leadership skills. The ability to effectively communicate the key points of a marketing strategy, produce reports and data showing ROI, and adjust client expectations to meet realistic results.

  • Problem solving ability

  • Ability to focus on both the 'pull' and the 'push' effectively; the end-result goal of the marketing process, and what it directly supports, is making sales easier. While sales is really the 'push' to the customer, the marketing is the 'pull' that gets the customer to you in the first place.
