Burns & McDonnell Project Assistant- Corporate Insurance (Kansas City, MO) in Kansas City, Missouri

Description

This onsite position is located at our World Headquarters in Kansas City, MO. This role supports the corporate property and casualty insurance department by assisting the Insurance Manager and insurance team in providing administrative project and insurance information as requestedGeneral administrative support for corporate insurance department.

  • Organize and maintain project files, filing system and project communications (both electronic and hard files).

  • Provide data entry for projects.

  • Track status of projects that have bonds and builders risk policies procured for them and produce monthly progress reports.

  • Maintain follow up tracking system for projects.

  • Work with project teams to request and provide information to facilitate questions regarding projects for builders risk quotes and bond quote applications.

  • Work with insurance broker to request builders risk and bond quotes.

  • Answer phones and direct calls.

  • Submit auto liability claims.

  • Sort incoming mail.

  • Collect and distribute corporate and project specific invoices.

  • Type memos, correspondence, reports and other documents as requested.

  • Coordinate travel arrangements and any other internal services for various project needs.

  • Prepare outgoing mailings and labels, including e-mail and fax.

  • Reserve conference rooms and coordinate client, vendor and/or supplier presentations, meetings and interviews, including set-up and cleanup.

  • Schedule and set-up client interviews, presentations and other meetings as requested.

  • Order and maintain supplies.

  • Update the project calendar.

  • Assist in clericals needs on projects.

  • Maintain data entry of corporate entity names, office contact list and locations.

All other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Minimum of four years applicable office/clerical experience with two years insurance (property and casualty) experience preferred.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint required.
