Burns & McDonnell Proposal Coordinator International (Kansas City) in Kansas City, Missouri

Description

The Proposal Coordinator will support pursuits in international markets and provide marketing support to meet in-country business development needs. The proposal coordinator is responsible for developing the proposal plan; responding to the Request For Proposal (RFP) by developing compliant and competitve proposals to win work for the company. This position will conduct proposal development efforts in collaboration with business development and project management leadership to showcase Burns & McDonnell qualifications and distinctive value propositions that make our clients successful.

  • Liase/collaborate with in-country teams to meet marketing and business development needs.

  • Develop proposal management workplan, win-theme strategy, proposal team assignments, and proposal timeline.

  • Recommend proposal solutions during the review of the go/no-go decision, lead official proposal kickoff meeting, and weekly proposal progress meetings.

  • Support subject matter experts and business lines with marketing deliverables such as presentations, magazine-style layout, infographics, resumes, and project sheets.

  • Coordinate post-submittal requests including proposal revisions and shortlist interview

  • Assist with the closing of project deliverables.

  • Assist in preparation and coordination of international conferences and company events

All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Experience in AEC industry proposal development and Shipley proposal standards preferred.

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business administration, or related field.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point.

  • Graphic design skills and experience with Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop preferred.

  • Excellent communication skills: verbal, technical writing and creative writing as well as proofreading and editing in AP style.

  • High level of attention to detail.
