Job Information

Burns & McDonnell Senior Exchange Administrator in Kansas City, Missouri

Description

The role is responsible for administration, monitoring, marketing and end-to-end cohesiveness of Exchange Online for Burns & McDonnell on an international platform.

  • Plan, deploy, and support technical solutions across the organization with focus on Exchange

  • Lead configuration and testing of Exchange with focus on effective reuse and efficiency.

  • Resident expert on Exchange and its overall product direction, with a passion for staying current on the Microsoft roadmap.

  • Collaborate with other IT staff, including Tier 1 Service Desk, to ensure cross-training and facilitate effective issue resolution.

  • Ability to identify tasks and procedures that can be automated and work with development team to make it happen

  • Compile and log operational issues, escalate incidents with vendors and build relationships with vendor account managers for escalation of service issues.

  • Assist with communicating to a variety of audiences in several media (verbal, written, videos, live presentations), and handling change management for our organization

  • Manage multiple simultaneous tasks and projects with various and changing levels of priority and difficulty.

  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS), Information Technology or related field. Minimum of 7 years experience. Applicable years of experience maybe substituted for degree requirement.

  • Experience successfully delivering technical solutions including planning, deployment and support for Exchange.

  • Ability to collaborate in a team with strong communication and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Understanding of the Microsoft collaboration stack including Office 365, Azure AD Connect, Exchange & SharePoint.

  • Basic knowledge of applying IT security regulations and policies.

  • Experience conducting and supporting O365 authentication and identity management.

  • Experience managing Azure Active Directory.

  • PowerShell scripting skills.
