This position is dedicated to the delivery of analytics & reporting solutions with an emphasis on Project and Business Unit Financial data and metrics. The Senior Financial Analytics Analyst will play a key role in leading data analytic initiatives as well as monthly reporting and flux analysis. Efforts will align with the company’s mission to deliver trusted, data-driven reporting empowering users to make insightful business decisions, maximize client relationships and forecast for future business growth and performance.

  • Oversee the preparation of reports, analyses, and presentations of project financial data to multiple levels of leadership.

  • Lead, coach and mentor Financial Analytics staff.

  • Serve as a financial data and analytics subject matter expert for department-wide goals and initiatives.

  • Act in lead roles for projects that focus on innovation and process improvement.

  • Support the Financial Analytics Manager with planning initiatives and prioritizing business and information needs.

  • Collaborate and serve as a key liaison between project teams, IT and Finance Technology to meet project and business reporting needs.

  • Create and participate in formal and informal trainings over the Company’s financial reporting solutions to project managers and business. leaders.

  • Develop and execute user acceptance testing plans in support of creating and enhancing project financial data models and reports.

  • Translate data requirements for practical usage by stakeholders.

  • Identify opportunities to enhance technical skills which can be transferred to the Analytics team and the Finance department as a whole.

  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

  • Minimum of eight (8) years related accounting experience; extra credit may be given for public accounting experience.

  • One year of additional credit give for CPA or MBA.

  • Strong functional understanding of data models and available reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, Excel, etc.)

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Technically familiar with data models, data mining and segmentation.

  • Robust analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy..

  • Preferred (but not required):

  • Experience with data models, data mining and segmentation

  • SQL experience
