Burns & McDonnell Senior Financial Systems Analyst – Accounting & Finance (Kansas City) in Kansas City, Missouri

Description

The Senior Financial Systems Analyst will lead the design, setup and testing of financial systems for enhancements and upgrades, including the development of custom reports and modules. This position will report on foreign currency, international subsidiaries, general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash management, expense reports, fixed assets, project costing, project billing and project forecasting.

  • Lead the design, setup and testing of financial systems for enhancements and upgrades.

  • Analyze and present custom reports and modules.

  • Manage the documentation of functional business requirements.

  • Lead test script process and procedures.

  • Present training for end-users.

  • Resolve system issues with end users and IT developers.

  • Analyze and present reports on foreign currency, international subsidiaries, general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash management, expense reports, fixed assets, project costing, project billing and project forecasting.

  • Build effective relationships with existing clients, customers and contractors.

  • Responsible for ensuring budget and customer satisfaction goals are met.

  • Manage the development of cost proposals and qualification statements to achieve stated targets and standards for financial performance.

  • Provide leadership, guidance and instruction to the department.

  • Responsible for QA/QC process adherence.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Complies with all policies and standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance. Emphasis in Information Systems preferred.

  • Minimum of eight (8) years with financial systems required; additional credit may be given for public accounting experience; implementation initiatives preferred.

  • Able to analyze and solve problems independently.

  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft office.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Self-motivated and good organizational skills.

  • Experience with Oracle applications and SQL preferred.

  • Experience in financial systems.
