Burns & McDonnell Senior Marketing Strategist in Kansas City, Missouri
The Senior Marketing Strategist advises business units in developing and executing strategic marketing plans. This position will provide client service support and will ensure that the direction of the marketing plans meet the needs of each client or project and are executed timely and accurately.
Assist business unit leadership with the execution of the strategic marketing plan for the business unit.
Produce presentations on marketing plans and marketing materials to present to the business unit leadership.
Monitor deadlines, benchmarks and effectiveness of marketing plan and provide updates to each business unit on the timeline of the plan and deliverables.
Lead marketing meetings between business unit and marketing team.
Collaborate with corporate marketing resources to develop creative materials to implement marketing plan initiatives.
Direct internal communication of firm-wide marketing news and developments.
Create and maintain a reporting system for marketing costs; reviews marketing performance summaries.
Direct proposal preparation; assist with decision on go/no-go strategies.
Manage maintenance of local contacts and leads database.
Prepare interview teams; participates in project kick off meetings.
Develop market specific materials.
Implement improvements for overall quality of marketing procedures.
Oversee marketing coordination efforts.
Participate in hiring and evaluation of marketing support staff.
All other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field.
Minimum 7 years experience as either an A/E professional, in marketing or sales with a professional services firm.
Superior technical writing abilities.
Design/presentation software experience required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Primary Location US-MO-Kansas City
Travel: Yes, 10 % of the Time
