Burns & McDonnell Project Manager in Morristown, New Jersey
Directs and coordinates activities of several disciplines on a project of large scale and scope or a combination of moderately sized projects. Coordination of civil, structural, electrical and mechanical engineering elements for the design of landside facilities including roadway alignments, profiles, elevated bridges/roadways, foundations, piles, utility relocations (water, gas, electric, comm, sanitary and storm sewer lines). Direct coordination with both internal and external clients. Ability to initiate or assist in contract negotiations or preparation. Assist in direction of project planning, budgeting and establishing critical project objectives. Other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field from an accredited curriculum. Minimum 7 years related experience, including 3 or more years managing transportation projects. Experience managing civil engineering projects with site and roadway layout and grading, stormwater management, water/wastewater, sedimentation and erosion control. Familiarity with geotechnical investigations, topographical surveys and environmental requirements, parking garages and toll booths, pavements including both concrete and asphalt. Experience with building codes, agencies/authorities having jurisdiction, and all associated permitting and approval processes. Management of complex roadway projects. Must have ability to deal effectively with a wide variety of industry, government and public contracts on project-related matters. Excellent written & verbal communication skills must. Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Professional Registration is required.
