To succeed in this role the successful candidate will have experience of delivering projects for our electricity transmission clients within our existing frameworks. This includes some understanding of the processes for design, construction and commissioning. You will be an excellent team player with demonstrable learning ability.

Technical responsibilities:

  • Understand aspects of safety and CDM compliance and understanding for EPC projects

  • Understand the mechanisms for the profit and loss of individual projects, the successful completion of projects within specified dates, and establishing and maintaining a professional and satisfactory relationship with the client, contractors and project stakeholders

  • Have an understanding of environmental issues associated with construction and how to mitigate them through the project lifecycle.

  • Have an understanding of sustainability issues, including client goals, associated with construction and how to mitigate them through the project lifecycle.

  • Support the preparation of EPC proposals

  • Provide project management support to EPC projects from concept to completion including coordinating the work of the support teams in estimating, engineering and procurement.

  • The role will support on value engineering and constructability reviews, provide construction management oversight including project controls

  • Understand and support schedules, manage scope, and control project costs

  • Support resourcing and contractor and supply chain management

  • Support internal project financials, resourcing, legal coordination, risk management

  • Confirm deliverables and services are being provided to client’s satisfaction

  • Report regularly on progress, cost and schedule, procurement, safety, environmental, other risk and any issues requiring office support.

  • Support the risk management process at project level

  • Have some knowledge of relevant industry regulation, standards and protocols

  • Developing a thorough understanding of client requirements to deliver appropriate solutions and ability to articulate these to clients

Functional Responsibilities

  • Develop bid stage technical solutions with partners and engineering team

  • Understand the Company Health & Safety and Environmental (SHE) Policies and Processes and statutory requirements as they affect the company’s operations and ensure the requirements are implemented.

  • Produce reports or provide information in a timely manner

  • To maintain own levels of skill and knowledge to do the job effectively

  • To support our clients and ensure KPIs are met or exceeded.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited program and 5 years of applicable experience.

  • Excellent written, graphical & verbal communication skills with the ability to convey messages clearly to clients and team members.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced, demanding work environment, ability to work additional hours on short notice,

  • High proficiency using Microsoft Office.

  • Experience of Primavera Contract Manager or similar change management software is preferred.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with others (Owner's, Contractors, Project Managers, Engineers, Designers and Sub-contractors) in a multi-discipline project team environment to resolve design or drawing issues as appropriate and to accomplish objectives.

  • Be capable of navigating and interrogating 3D multi-discipline models and other deliverables to assess completeness, level of detail and co-ordination between disciplines, relative to the Scope of Services during and at the completion of each work stage.
