Burns & McDonnell India has exciting opportunity for Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) Engineer

interested in growing their careers in one of the fast-paced company involved in high tech building

design and construction. We are in a process of establishing a team of instrumentation & controls

engineers focused on design of control systems for Hyperscale Data Centers and Food & Consumer

Product facilities. Project focus would also cover variety of other facilities including pharmaceutical, life

sciences, healthcare, manufacturing, airports, and institutional facilities in the North America region.

Along with I&C the selected candidate will also get involved in telecommunications, building automation

systems, etc.

We are looking for a young and energetic candidate to join our Global Facilities business unit in Mumbai

office to support Instrumentation & Control design activities for above listed facilities. The engineer will

be responsible for developing I&C engineering design packages and calculations in support of new or

retrofit projects. Specific duties include the following:

• Design I&C system and equipment as per the requirements of each client and facility.

• Develop Piping & Instrumentation Diagram (P&ID) and/or control schematics as required.

• Develop control system deliverables such as:

o I/O configuration and partitioning to hardware

o Field connection diagrams

o DCS Connection diagrams

o Loop Drawings

o Control Panel Design

o Instrument wiring diagrams

o Cable Schedule

o Functional Descriptions (FDS)/Controls Narratives

o IQ/OQ Documentation

o Control room layouts

• Develop instrumentation deliverables such as:

o Instrument demolition/ installation diagrams

o Instrument datasheets

o Instrument location plans

o Conduit routing

o I/O Lists

• Review vendor drawing submittals to confirm design compliance.

• PLC programming and design of HMI.

• Perform quality reviews of project submittals.

• Develop designs that are compliant with prevalent codes, standards and good engineering practices

followed in the industry.

• Work with a senior engineer in supporting design activities on the project.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in instrumentation or electrical engineering from accredited program or a

recognized institute.

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience. Experience in food & consumer product and mission

critical facility design is a plus.

• Knowledge of the following programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is preferred: Rockwell Studio

5000, SLC, PLC5, Modicon, GE, Siemens. Schneider

• Knowledge of the following HMIs is preferred: Rockwell FTView SE/ME, Wonderware InTouch,

Modicon, GE, Siemens.

• Knowledge of the following distributed control system platforms is preferred but no required;

Emerson DeltaV, ABB Symphony Plus, and Siemens T3000.

• Hands on CAD experience is a must. Knowledge of REVIT is a plus.

• Proficient in the English language and must demonstrate excellent oral and written communication

skills,

• Candidate must demonstrate a strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Previous consulting engineering experience strongly preferred

• Knowledge of database mainly Excel and Access
