Burns & McDonnell Instructional Designer in Mumbai, India

Description

On a daily basis this role will:

·Partner with US counterpart(s) to assess learning and development needs and suggest solutions.

·Partner with Internal Communications partners to create communication plans and materials for learning and development programs.

·Design surveys to measure program outcomes and their effectiveness.

·Design novel and innovative programs and services that meet the changing needs of employees and our business.

·Act as a resource to Talent Development team on learning, techniques and approaches to adult cognition and learning methods.

Skills:

·Knowledge of instructional design models and processes, such as ADDIE or SAM.

·Knowledge of instructional modalities, such as classroom learning, blended learning, online courses, multi-devices/mobile learning, and virtual simulations.

·Experience in creating visual representations of learning and development solutions, including wireframes, storyboards, and mock-ups.

·Develops and designs courses and curriculum.

·Edits and develops online learning materials.

·Creates learning experiences and environments.

·Designs learning activities, assignments, and assessments.

·Creates computer-based training (CBT) modules and storyboards.

·Develops instructor’s manuals, rubrics, and other teaching tools.

·Collaborates with subject experts to develop course content.

·Manages online learning communities.

·Analyzes, updates, and refines existing online content.

·Trains instructors, students, and employees in how to use learning technologies.

·Facilitates discussion and collaboration via social media.

·Keeps current on best practices in instructional design.

·Writes scripts for video and audio content.

·Works with technical staff to troubleshoot problems reported by users.

Responsibilities:

·Bachelor’s degree required.Masters degree preferred in HR, Organizational Development or similar.

·5 or more years applicable work experience required.

·Expertise in design or redesign instructor-led courses, including activities/engagement exercises.

·Expertise in design or redesign course materials for instructor-led training, including lesson plans, visuals, handouts/job aids, training activity materials, role plays, and facilitator guides.

·Expertise in design and create online learning courses.

·Expertise in research topics for course development that others may be creating.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required.

Masters degree preferred in HR, Organizational Development or similar.
