The Mumbai office is growing a full complement of professionals with expertise in in Structural, Civil, Architecture, Mechanical, Electrical engineering, Construction, and Project Management.

Burns & McDonnell India is looking for an experienced and energetic candidate to join our Global Facilities Group in Mumbai office to lead and support Structural design activities involved projects mainly in USA. This position requires an experienced Structural Engineer capable of successfully solving difficult problems that require adaptation and modification of standard techniques, procedures and criteria. This candidate will lead design, planning and client coordination activities associated with various Aviation and Federal, commercial, manufacturing, foods, and mission critical projects

• Key Responsibilities:

o Responsible for analysis and design of various super structures and foundations for industrial facilities, design of steel and concrete buildings.

o Preparing detail design calculation report and reviewing the detail drawings and layout o Geotechnical report review, analysis and provide comments/clarifications o Review of equipment vendor drawings and fabrication drawings.

o Capture internal client requirements and if needed, advise them regarding structural/civil systems/requirements available to meet their needs and comply with safety codes.

o Coordinate with other disciplines, client(s) and other stake holder(s) to develop a clash free system design.

o Responsible to manage the assigned scope within agreed schedule and budget.

o Willing to advance in career by taking increased responsibilities on projects and organization.

o Help in recruitment, development, and training of staff o Serves as technical advisor, provide senior level Inputs o A committed team player able to work on own initiative.

o Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, strong Interpersonal skills

o Good Communication skills (verbal & written) and ability to self-check and produce accurate work

• Tools:

o Exposure to any design software/tool like STAAD Pro, Risa 3D, SAFE, ETABs, etc

. o AutoCAD o Knowledge of Navisworks will be added advantage o Knowledge of REVIT (Structural) or TEKLA will be an added advantage.

o Microsoft Office Tools – MS Word, MS Excel, MS Power Point, Outlook, OneNote

Qualifications

o Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution. Masters in Structural Engineering an added advantage.

o Good analytical and problem-solving skills

o Minimum 11 to 14 years of working experience in Structural design for industrial facilities and building.

o Understanding of codes and standards (IS, ASCE, ACI, IBC, AISC etc.) and its applicability for practical design of industrial facilities and buildings.

o Dynamic personality, eager to learn and interested in a stable commitment.
