Description

The Senior Transportation Policy Strategist will lead policy and public engagement plans for primarily public-sector clients and projects in the transportation and infrastructure industries. This position will lead deliverables on projects in all aspects of transportation improvements, such as: roadway, bridge, and traffic. Lead the development of policy communications and public engagement plans for public sector clients.

  • Lead the development of policy documents for public sector infrastructure clients.

  • Lead the development of materials, present at public meetings, quality review log inquiries on public information hotlines, and data management.

  • Lead logistics for project-related engagement activities, such as constituent surveys, in-person/virtual meetings or events.

  • Lead the development of materials for clients and projects, such as fact sheets, website copy, presentation materials, meeting notifications, etc.

  • Lead client contract administration, including budget, invoicing and scope.

  • Quality review brand guidelines in project documents.

  • Present at public and project meetings to provide status.

  • Quality review reports in the Stakeholder Management System.

  • Quality review project information files and ensuring the interchange of project outreach information to project managers and clients.

  • Manage marketing efforts and identify key pursuits.

  • Train and mentor staff.

  • Responsible for overall QA/QC process adherence.

  • Ensure compliance with company and site safety policies.

All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, journalism, marketing or a related field from an accredited program.

  • Minimum of 14 years strategic communication experience.

  • Expert in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point.

  • Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop experience highly preferred.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong organizational skills.

  • Expert knowledge in DOT project standards.

  • Demonstrated ability to work as an effective team member.

  • Ability to work independently.

  • Excellent organization and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.

  • Expert presentation skills.

Attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
