Burns & McDonnell Project Manager - Mining (Phoenix) in Phoenix, Arizona
Burns & McDonnell is looking for a Project Manager for our Energy Global Practice (division) to continue to grow our mining business in the Southwest United States.

Direct and coordinate conceptual studies, detailed design, field investigation, field installation and construction support in the mining industry.
Leverage industry relationships and experience to develop new and existing clients.
Cross-sell design and construction services with other Burns & McDonnell divisions.
Direct coordination with clients and other external clients. May initiate or assist in contract negotiations or preparation.
Initiate or assist in direction of project planning, budgeting and establishing critical project objectives.
Maintain and promote a focus on safety. Effectively utilize Burns & McDonnell's Quality Program in production of final deliverables. Ensures effective communication and coordination with other engineering disciplines
Ensure effective management of change, including impacts to total cost of ownership.
Mentor and guide less experienced designers and engineers.
Review equipment vendor drawings and data.
Interface with suppliers, clients, other engineering disciplines, detailers/designers.
Prepare construction/installation scopes of work for mining projects.
Participate in the development of construction specifications, project schedules, project budgets, project staffing planning, and construction planning.
Other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering, or similar, from an accredited program.
Minimum seven (7) years’ experience working in the mining or construction industries, including five (5) or more years managing mining projects.
PE license strongly preferred.
EPC project experience is highly preferred.
Ability to perform quality reviews for detailed engineering documents and specifications.
Must have the ability to lead execution of work and resolve issues in a team environment.
Previous consulting experience preferred.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Must be capable of working large projects and delegating work tasks to large teams, including utilizing remote team members as required.
Self-motivated and detail-oriented with exceptional organizational abilities.
