The Operations Manager is responsible for the managerial leadership and direction of the business lines, people development and training, and engineering quality processes of the MAR T&D Global Practice. The Operations Manager’s primary responsibility is to oversee our greatest asset – our people. This means creating an environment where we bring the right people in to the organization, integrate them into our culture, set clear expectations, foster their growth and career development, and drive behaviors that bring our desired business results. ·Oversight and management of chargeability and proper investment of overhead labor and costs

·Proactively coordinate with business units and human resources (HR) to create hiring plans for new grad and experienced hiring needs

·Provide oversight of the implementation of the internship program

·Partner with HR to establish and implement innovative recruiting strategies to recruit top talent to drive our business forward

·Oversee an onboarding process that set clear expectations, instills MacCulture, and builds cohesion.

·Develop and maintain resource management processes in collaboration with project teams and business line leadership.

·Oversee the implementation of career development programming, specifically professional development

·Bring clarity in career path development, opportunities, and providing resources necessary for employees to own their career development.

·Champion a culture of development, establishing expectations and connections for developmental partnerships (e.g., mentorship, coaching, and sponsorship)

·Coordinate with Human Resources regarding interpretation of corporate policies, recruiting plans and strategies, personnel issues, training/development, diversity/inclusion initiatives, or other.

·Provide close collaboration with business line leadership and technical leadership ensuring people initiatives align with business direction and technical direction.

·Establish relationships and serve as main point-of-contact for people related initiatives across Regional Offices and Global Practices.

·Coordinate and facilitate division-wide collaboration sessions for people driven initiatives.

·Develop and communicate tools, processes and best practices for personnel management that can be shared across all of T&D

Qualifications

·Bachelor’s degree in a related field

·Minimum twelve (12) years related professional experience

·Minimum five (5) years of experience in direct management of professionals.

·Proven leadership in developing and implementing visions that have brought positive impact

·Ability to thoughtfully and positively influence, lead and manage.

·Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills; strong interpersonal skills; and the ability to clearly and effectively present complex information to all levels of employees, management, and clients.

·Ability to plan, guide, and implement effective change.

·Ability to handle difficult situations with tact, poise, and discernment.

·Experience and familiarity with corporate human resources policies

·Proven collaboration, facilitation, and organization problem solving skills in previous roles

·Demonstrated planning and analytical skills.

Knowledge and demonstrated experience in implementing organizational management methodologies and tools.
