Burns & McDonnell Project Manager – Transmission & Distribution (San Diego) in San Diego, California

Description

Burns & McDonnell is looking for a Project Manager to join our Transmission & Distribution group. The successful candidate will manage and coordinate the overall delivery of our services to make our clients successful. Specific responsibilities include, but may not be limited to:

  • Promoting a safety first culture

  • Leading a team with a service oriented mindset

  • Management and development of client relationships

  • Selling Burns & McDonnell’s services

  • Leading response to requests for proposals

  • Management of project financial performance

  • Management of internal and external project communication

  • Application of technical project management skills

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field from an accredited curriculum.

  • Minimum 7 years related experience, including 3 or more years managing transmission projects in the Transmission & Distribution industry.

  • Ability to deal effectively with a wide variety of industry, government and public contracts on project-related matters.

  • PE registration is desired

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred

  • Demonstrated results in managing projects, which includes proposal development, contract negotiations, project planning, design team coordination & communication, budgeting, schedule management, and client coordination.

  • Expert facilitation, collaboration, organization, and problem solving skills.

  • Excellent planning and analytical skills.

  • Must demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills; strong interpersonal skills; and the ability to clearly and effectively present complex information to all levels of employees, management, and clients.

  • Expert knowledge of project management methodologies and tools including the use of Microsoft Project or equivalent.

Compensation Range

$140,000 - 220,000

The expected compensation range for this position is displayed in compliance with all local/state regulations. The expected compensation range for this position is based on a number of factors, including but not limited to: individual education, qualifications, prior work experience and work location. The total annual compensation package will consist of a base salary and eligibility to participate in our discretionary year-end incentive bonus program.
