Burns & McDonnell Department Assistant Supervisor - Mission Critical (San Francisco) in San Francisco, California

Description

This position supervises the department assistants within the Mission Critical practice.Serve as the technical advisor and provide senior-level input and evaluation of administrative activities.

  • Serve as the technical advisor and provide senior-level input and evaluation of administrative activities.

  • Assign work and review staff performance to ensure quality and efficient, cost-effective utilization of staff.

  • Monitor and maintain staffing levels, staff loading and staff assignments to meet project requirements while maintaining billable goals.

  • Recruitment, development, training and retention of department staff.

  • Maintain a close and highly responsive relationship with the supervisor and staff.

  • Use judgment and initiative to determine the approach or action to take in non-routine situations.

  • Interpret and adapt guidelines, including unwritten policies, precedents, and practices.

  • Composes correspondence on own initiative about administrative matters for supervisor's approval.

  • Coordinate special events.

  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School degree or equivalent.

  • Minimum 7 years, 3-5 yrs of previous supervisory experience preferred.

  • Excellent computer skills.
