Burns & McDonnell Quality Assurance Manager - Construction Services (New England Offices) in Wallingford, Connecticut
The New England Office Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for the overall management and development of quality initiatives across all New England Global Practices and business lines. This involves many office locations in the New England area to visit and build relationships including a variety of engineering and construction markets.
Responsible for the effective development and implementation of policies, procedures and guidelines to ensure successful project execution.
Creation of quality manuals for different global practices (divisions or lines of business)
Direction and creation to obtain ISO 9001 Certification
Support projects from proposal to closeout with problem solving, standardized guidelines, quality programs and procedures, staff development, quality and continuous improvement tools.
Verify proper implementation of project quality programs.
Coordinate, monitor and implement training programs and administer department's training budget.
Recommend continuous improvement strategies.
Provide performance-based audits.
Other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree in related field from an accredited curriculum.
Minimum 7 years related experience in quality auditing of engineering and construction projects.
Background and experience in the process of obtaining ISO 9001 certification.
Experience with creation of quality manuals for industry markets.
Expert facilitation, collaboration, organization, and problem solving skills.
Excellent planning and analytical skills.
Must demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills; strong interpersonal skills; and the ability to clearly and effectively present complex information to all levels of employees and management
