Burns & McDonnell Senior Environmental Engineer - Remediation in Wallingford, Connecticut


We are seeking a motivated, self-directed environmental engineer to join our growing environmental site investigation and remediation practice in Burns & McDonnell’s office in Wallingford, CT.

The individual selected for this position will have experience performing environmental site investigations, borehole logging, subsurface soil sampling, installation and sampling of monitoring wells, oversight of remediation activities, preparing technical reports, working with vendors and supervision of project teams.

The position will require a significant amount of interaction and collaboration with other Burns & McDonnell project staff, clients, and project contractors; therefore, the ability to work as an integral member of a team is essential. The individual selected for this position will need excellent organizational skills, solid writing and communication skills, and be willing to travel as needed for project assignments.


A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in environmental or civil engineering or related engineering field is required.

This position requires 7 years of applicable experience in the performance of environmental site investigation and remediation projects.

Familiarity with relevant environmental regulations and programs is required. An applicable license such as a PE, PG, CT LEP or the credentials to apply for and obtain such license and experience/comfort with client outreach and business development is preferred.
