Burns & McDonnell Senior Systems Integrator/Project Manager in Wallingford, Connecticut


The Sr. System Integrator collaborates with the client and fellow team members to maximize business value obtained from a suite of project controls applications, including EcoSys, P6, Maximo, ARM, and Cleopatra. The specialist will

  • Determines client’s objectives by reviewing business functions, gathering information, and evaluating requirements.

  • Lead a team of 4-8 business analysts, application specialists, and IT professionals.

  • Implements and Improves solutions and maximizes business value by studying client current practices, creating, documenting, piloting, and/or proposing system modifications, use cases, BRD’s and best practices

  • Proposes, pilots, and/or designs solutions by analyzing requirements, constructing workflow charts and diagrams, studying client system capabilities, or writing specifications.

  • Maintains project controls application strategy and roadmap, including both business and technical considerations and stakeholders.

  • Ensures system integrations have appropriate data, data quality controls, auditing, monitoring, and security.

  • Ensures key construction related entities sourced and maintained in sync across portfolio.

  • Serves as bridge between client business, client IT, and/or Vendors, working to influence, direct and support execution of prioritized business needs, including supporting system and data integration needs.

  • Maintains user confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.

  • Applies analytical and technical thinking within areas of assigned responsibility to resolve client issues and challenges by identifying possible alternatives, and providing recommendations.

  • Contributes to preparation of testing scripts and materials; supports and performs system and integrated testing tasks.

  • All other duties as assigned.


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Construction Management, MIS or related field

  • Minimum 8 years progressive work experience in Information Technology

  • Experience in an application development or system integration strongly preferred

  • Minimum 3 years work experience in enterprise architecture and system integration

  • Experience as an administrator or super-user and/or implementing project controls enterprise software for a construction environment preferred

  • Understanding of software implementation methodologies (waterfall, iterative and incremental)

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to learn and understand new technologies

  • Strong written and oral communication skills

  • Highly self-motivated and directed

  • Keen attention to detail

  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities

  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment

  • Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

  • Ability to obtain Nuclear Facility security clearance
